Day in the Life….

Of a Senior Analyst at a Fund of Hedge Funds

So I was inspired to post a “Day in the Life” post from the Newlywed Next Door and thought I’d give my millions of followers (ok not really) a glimpse into my work day.

My typical day starts at 6:30 am!

6:30 am - Wake up shower and hit the road by 7:15

7:50 - 8:30 – Arrive at work, check emails, create To Do List for the day

8:30 – 9:30 – Audit meeting with administrators in Boston and Canada

9:30 – 11:30 – Update all of my accounts for cash transactions, trades and new net asset values

11:30 – 12:30 Gym Time! (about 4 days a week) The other day I grab lunch quickly and eat at my desk and work

12:30 – 1:30 Department meeting, or Huddle, as my boss likes to call it

1:30 - 3:30 Work on audit work and complete a giant excel spreadsheet for one of clients’ audits

3:30 – 5:00 Work on random projects/client requests and look busy until my weekend starts!

Arrive at home by 5:45 or go to the gym after work

Cook dinner for Jake and Tuttle most nights

Catch up on blogs, DVR, and laundry. In bed by 11pm most nights!

(This was my day last Friday)

Pretty glamorous right? Not really.

Have a great Monday everyone! Cant wait until Friday!
